Manage a team of Cobra Administration and Billing Services account managers and coordinators to achieve excellent service delivery. Execute to create raving fans as seen in the ability to service and retain clients and members. This will be achieved through coaching, mentoring and disciplined approach to workload management

Fundamental Components

* Selects and builds strong teams through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring and other

* development techniques. Accountable to hire, develop and terminate staff

* Assesses developmental needs and collaborate with others to identify and implement action plans that support the

* development of high performing teams

* Conducts performance and compensation reviews and implement staff development programs to encourage high

* performance

* Articulates performance expectations and team objectives while collecting and interpreting balanced measures to

* evaluate team performance

* Spends face to face time with each member of the team to provide constructive feedback and enable team members to learn and become experts in their relative realm of responsibilities

* Ensures integrity of reporting and tracking relative to position

* Participates in meetings in support of business objectives

* Articulates and incorporates the fundamental values of The Aetna Way in every aspect of work

* Collaborates with internal and external partners to build strong relationships and drive both financial results and excellent customer service

* Identifies at risk accounts and collaborates with management to set and execute a strategy to minimize loss

* Champions department position while acting as an advocate for clients and members


* 5+ years account management or industry experience.

* Minimum 1+ years of supervisory experience

* Cobra and billing expertise preferred


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
