Are you passionate about DevOps and leading high-functioning team of Systems Development Engineers? The Pyxis team builds and provides operational support for internal tools used by developers across AWS. Our systems development engineers work in a fast-paced environment across many disciplines, collaborating with other AWS teams to deliver cutting-edge services for our customers. Pyxis team members own the scaling and management of services across all AWS regions, including regions supporting the US Government.
You will manage a team of engineers responsible for delivering projects on time that exceed customer expectations. You love to work with internal and external customers to execute projects and resolve issues. + A good people manager. Building, motivating and mentoring a world-class DevOps engineering team is the most important part of this role. You should have a proven track record in recruiting and retaining top talent and excel in day-to-day people and performance management tasks.
+ Is technically and operationally deep. You will regularly take part in deep-dive troubleshooting exercises and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify root cause of complex issues. The ideal candidate has experience as a software or systems engineer.
+ Has strong project management experience. The successful candidate will create roadmaps for the team. You will need excellent technical project management skills to deliver roadmap items as well as other cross-team projects. Experience with Agile methodologies is an advantage.
