SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Medium Altitude UAS Division supporting the MQ-9 Reaper System Program Office.
Responsible for providing engineering expertise, oversight, and participation to activities involving development, integration, test, configuration management, and acquisition and resource management for new capabilities to an existing weapon system. Will support program technical interchange meetings, program management reviews, executive management reviews, test-related meetings, lab and flight test events, integrated product team meetings, software/hardware design reviews, platform integration meetings, etc.
The candidate shall act as engineering team leader, developing engineering requirements and managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution; interface with weapons system contractor, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering activities; independently apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, oversee, and evaluate weapons system development and sustainment activities; review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Requires an Engineering degree and experience in structures, avionics, or systems; and multi-discipline engineering experience.
- A Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years' engineering experience; or a Master's degree and ten (10) years' engineering experience.
- At least five (5) years of that experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.
- Master's degree and ten (10) years' engineering experience with at least five (5) years of that experience within DoD program/projects is desired.
