**What You-ll Do As** **Taxonomist**
+ Research, develop, and apply taxonomic classificationand metadata schema on EDM.
+ Work in appropriate tools for taxonomy management, datacollection, application, and analysis, and for surfacing of new projectmanagement terminology by which to keep the taxonomy up to date.
+ Identify and implement tools to evaluate andeffectively manage both the overall search experience as well asappropriate tagging of knowledge assets.
+ Apply knowledge of industry standards for thesauri andclassification systems to taxonomy development and application.
+ Apply knowledge of information retrieval/cognitivesearch technology to metadata management
+ Facilitate discussions and share best practices withstakeholders and business functions
+ Collaborate with Search Relevance team members todevelop and test controlled vocabularies with the aim of improving Indeedsearch results
+ Conduct a range of analyses (competitive/comparative,Google Analytics, internal data sources, user research) to inform taxonomydevelopment process
+ Evaluate categorized content to identify gaps incoverage, misclassified content, redundant and/or ineffectivecategorization rules
+ Perform complex boolean queries to efficiently identifysimilar content and apply auto-categorization rules according to Indeed-staxonomy structure and category definitions
+ Create and maintain mappings and crosswalks to fulfillbusiness needs and facilitate data reuse
+ Suggest ways to improve and scale our products andinternal tools
+ Strong problem solving and conceptual thinkingabilities
+ Strong background in research and analysis, includingthe ability to evaluate source authority
+ Ability to context switch between systems-levelthinking and attention to minute details
+ Honed time management skills and demonstrated successin handling multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities
+ Ability to balance quick decision-making with attentionto quality and accuracy
+ Familiarity with information recall concepts
+ Proficiency with Google G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs,Hangouts, etc.)
+ Experience developing, implementing, and/or maintainingcontrolled vocabularies (thesauri, taxonomies, ontologies) in a businessenvironment
+ Experience analyzing large datasets
+ Knowledge of SQL or SPARQL
+ Understanding of taxonomic schema, rules, and workflowsand how to work with and maintain them
+ Experience working with digital asset managementsystems (DAMs)
+ Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-pacedenvironment
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, MIS or related field.
