**Technical Product Manager, Mobile Infrastructure & Telco Networking**

Join us as a **Technical Product Manager, Mobile Infrastructure & Telco Networking** on our Telco Business Systems team in **Round Rock, Texas, Santa Clara, CA or a REMOTE North American location** to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

**What you’ll achieve**

As a **Technical Product Manager for our Telco Networking and Mobile Infrastructure products** and solutions, you will have Product Management experience and be the technical subject matter expert within the product development group, while being deeply engaged with our sales organizations to enable them to solve complex customer challenges with our technology solution offerings. You will use your deep technical expertise to work with your broader product management counterparts to define next generation product and solution offerings. Since you love being in front of people, you will also be traveling to conduct sales and channel boot camps and attend customer meetings.

**You will:**

+ Translate customer opportunities and requirements into detailed user stories. Develop, with product management, detailed feature and product requirements documents from user stories. Work with the product team to prioritize feature requirements.

+ Work with engineering and development teams to develop proof of concepts of new and emerging technologies and/or new features that our customers can benefit from.

+ Help technical marketing to develop and review technical collateral and marketing claims.

+ Enable the sales teams and partners to sell telco products and solutions. Work with solutions business development teams to train direct pre-sales and channel partners on selling and architecting complex enterprise solutions.

+ Author whitepapers, application briefs, customer presentations, and blogs that document the applicability of your solutions to this market and own technical training content development and delivery.

+ Team up with account team to drive strategic account initiatives, developing trusted advisor relationships with our customers and partners. Secure early customers and Proof-Of-Concept (POC) opportunities. Work with account team to deliver and implement these POCs.

**Essential Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience

+ 10+ years’ hands-on experience in the telco service provider marketplace either working for a telco or a networking vendor that serves the space

+ 5+ years’ experience in a product management or equivalent role

+ In depth domain knowledge of telco and cloud infrastructures, mobility architectures (4G & 5G), and virtualization concepts.

+ In depth knowledge of 3GPP mobility architectures, in particular LTE Uu and 5G New Radio air interfaces and the Radio Access Network (RAN) and 4G/5G core. This includes knowledge depth to the RAN interfaces and protocols level, for both Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) deployments. The candidate should understand the pros and cons for performance and cost trade-offs for centralized versus distributed architectures for the Centralized Unit (CU), Distributed Unit (DU), and the Radio Unit (RU).

+ In-depth knowledge of Open RAN (O-RAN) Alliance Working Groups specifications, including the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) and the new interfaces (O1, O2, A1, E2).

+ In depth knowledge of telco networking architectures and requirements, including: IPv4/IPv6, MPLS-TE, Segment Routing, Carrier Ethernet, and Layer-2 networking frameworks. Hands-on experience with routing protocols – OSPF, ISIS, and BGP – VPNs and overlay networking, and management framework.

+ Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of Telecom and enterprise data centers (i.e. compute, networking, and storage) and the software/hardware ecosystem that supports infrastructure virtualization

**Desirable Requirements**

+ Prior working experience with 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, MEF, BBF, TIP, LFN, ITU-T, IETF, and IEEE networking specifications.

+ Proven track record of leading successful customer and partner engagements

+ Strong writing, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

+ This role requires a strong customer/market mindset, a desire to engage customers and related open source/standard development communities to become a trusted advisor.

+ Ability to work as overlays to support Sales Engineers in identifying opportunities, solving real world problems, assisting with RFP responses, etc.
