Every day fraudsters from all over the world attempt to steal our services in many interesting and creative ways, and we build smart software systems to stop them. We process data at Amazon scale, use extensive machine learning and data modeling to identify the good from the bad.
Join our growing team of software engineers and predictive modelers that are building best-in-class tools and large-scale distributed systems to detect and prevent malicious or fraudulent usage of AWS by leveraging the latest in machine learning and web anti-fraud techniques. You must possess a combination of strong technical skills and business acumen as well as a do-what-it-takes attitude. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to succeed in this role.
You will manage the AWS Fraud Assessment and Implementation Program across AWS. As the Technical Program Manager your responsibilities will include:
+ Ensure new and existing AWS offerings are developed and operated in accordance with best in class fraud prevention practices.
+ Evangelize to encourage a fast and smooth adoption of our fraud detection and remediation services. You will be a trusted advisor to teams across AWS.
+ Develop, track, and report on key program performance metrics. Balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
+ Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner.
+ Effectively manage expectations and handle business escalations.

Drive science programs across AWS
Partner with engineering teams, scientists and other AWS stakeholders to build and deploy Fraud Prevention mechanisms
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
+ Broad technical breadth and depth including a strong understanding of cloud computing services
+ 5+ years program/project management experience in large scale / distributed software development.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple business units.
+ Ability to manage multiple parallel projects and work autonomously.
+ 8+ year’s professional experience in software development
+ Graduate degree in a technical discipline or MBA
+ Experience in fraud prevention or information security
+ Understanding of machine learning and data modeling
