General Statement of Duties: Position functions within community based Outpatient Mental Health Clinics to provide services to people of all ages who are experiencing personal difficulties in their lives due to psychiatric and/or emotional symptoms arising from current or past stressors, life crises, problems in school, developmental issues, mental illness, adjustment disorders or substance abuse. BAMSI will provide malpractice liability insurance coverage, supervision, and training on topics of professional interest.
The Clinics are licensed by the Department of Public Health, Medicaid Certified, and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

*Available benefits are based on position and scheduled hours and may not be available for this particular position.
+ Provide diagnostic evaluation, individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
+ Maintain up-to-date clinical records for assigned clients, complete all required documentation in a clear, comprehensive, concise, and timely manner.
+ Produce a minimum of at least 28 client contact units (billable hours) per week at Whitman Counseling Center and outreach locations, as assigned.
+ Attend staff meetings, quarterly team meetings, and multi-disciplinary team meetings as scheduled.
+ Obtain and ensure all necessary prior authorizations from funding agents (i.e. insurance companies/Medicaid) for services rendered to assigned clients.
+ Perform services in compliance with the policies established by BAMSI, funding sources, and/or licensing regulatory agents.
+ Schedule and provide Open Access sessions as available, when required.
+ Participate in supporting other BAMSI programs who may require clinical support (i.e. grief counseling, emergency response, etc.).
+ Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work required.
+ LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Ph.D. in Counseling, Psychology, Educational Psychology, and/or Clinical Psychology, Licensed Ph.D. or Psy.D preferred, but professional experience considered.
+ Must demonstrate ability to bill and maintain 90% productivity.
+ Must demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with service providers and administrators, to work independently and as part of a team, and to embrace the system of care principles.
+ Must possess excellent coordination, facilitation, mediation and crisis management skills.
+ Must possess excellent computer time management, and organizational skills.
+ Must be flexible and able to respond to families under stress and in crisis.
+ Must have valid driver’s license in state of residence and own means of transportation.
