Job summary:

Maximize sales revenues including tournament green fees, tournament cart fees, tournament food, tournament beverage and pre-sold merchandise. Sells, facilitates and/or executes group tournaments and performs administrative functions as needed. This is accomplished through networking, solicitations, grass roots sales and attaining or exceeding the annual budget revenue goals and booking goals for tournament. Tournament Facilitators may serve as lead event professional at course, or may supervise other co-workers. Job devotes approximately 25% of time to selling and approximately 75% of time to tournament execution. This job title is paid 75% hourly and 25% commission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • - Under the direction of management, increases tournament revenue by following Sales Standards / Expectations, including: executing outbound sales call minimum requirements (outbound Cold Call contacts per week and Follow-Up phone calls per week and networking events per month) to drive awareness, creating and implementing lead generation strategies; identifying and pursuing target markets by monitoring club and community demographics; utilizing contact database daily to build and maintain prospects, track leads and accurately report all sales metrics; networking with members, guests and the community to maximize leads and referrals; maintaining relationships with previous event hosts and members (if applicable); synergize with fellow sales team members and maximize customer potential
  • - Under the direction of management, manages event administrative requirements and logistics by developing and adhering to Sage contracts/confirmation agreements; communicating requirements in advance to appropriate departments or outside vendors and following up to ensure that corporate standards of quality and service are met; maintaining a close working relationship with event host; meeting and greeting organizer at event (if applicable); following up with event hosts to ensure satisfaction and maximize referrals
  • - Finalizes tournament details with the event chairperson
  • - Maintains communication with management by participating in the Weekly Sales Meeting and providing weekly and monthly status reports including PACE, Activity Reports, Task List, Pipeline and others as requested by management through Sage
  • - Executes the club-specific marketing plan approved by Corporate Marketing Department, including hosting and participating in the annual required prospecting events
  • - Answers incoming phone calls and retrieves messages
  • - Greets customers
  • - Maintaining daily follow-ups
  • - Executes administrative duties including but not limited to: correspondence, contract generation, filing, administrative and clerical support to sales staff, providing proshop coverage, supervising other co-workers

Additional Responsibilities:

  • - Promote club event bookings to the local community by attending member functions, monthly Chamber of - Commerce meetings, trade association meetings and trade shows
  • - Ensures smooth execution of events by collaborating with appropriate department heads
  • - Maintains communication with peers by attending weekly department head and sales meetings
  • - Implements and support sall AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
  • - May be responsible for selling other disciplines
  • - Attends all scheduled sales conference calls.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • - High School Diploma required
  • - 2 years of related experience in administrative support, sales environment preferred
  • - Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM
  • - Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • - Excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction required
  • - Valid drivers license required
