11513BRJob ID:11513BRExciting Challenges: This role is responsible for the entire Trading Goods side of the Sika Roofing business. This position establishes and executes the supply plan, plus certain transactional aspects of same, with all Trading Good partners. This position is based in Canton, MA, reporting to the reports to the VP of Customer Operations.

Specific Responsibilities:

+ Host and conduct all annual / weekly / monthly / quarterly vendor meetings

+ Travel as needed to attend vendor meetings and attend trade shows

+ Supervise assigned personnel tasked with Trading Good related responsibilities

+ With VP of Customer Operations and Procurement Dept, negotiate and conclude all annual Trading Good rebate programs

+ Ensure that such rebate monies are secured on schedule and keep Finance informed of progress in real time

+ Successfully negotiate of all future Trading Good supply contracts.

+ Proactively take appropriate steps so that Trading Good supply meets or exceeds Trading Goods demand

+ Coordinate closely with Trading Good suppliers so they focus on high service levels and competitive costs

+ Provide forecasts and oversee day-to-day buying and selling activity of Trading Goods

+ Attend LET and communicate Trading Good opportunities for improvement or to discontinue as appropriate

+ Work with Sales to determine optimal selling prices of Trading Good products and support implementation

+ Ensure SAP is kept current with changes in Trading Goods (prices, UOM’s, additions, deletions, etc.)

+ Work closely with Product Manager to coordinate part number creation, and communication of new products

+ Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical field

+ Minimum 15 years of experience with commercial building products, optimally in low slope roofing

+ Ability to structure complex technical information into concise customer focused messages, and to be able to communicate feature/benefits/value proposition to differentiate from competition

+ Previous experience with achieving compliance to regulatory requirements and industry standards (LEED, ASTM, VOC Regulations, etc.)

The candidate needs to have the following skills and abilities:

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Advanced technical knowledge of construction products

+ Excellent at establishment of priorities and acting on them to attain business objectives

+ Excellent ability to listen carefully and to provide mature and sustainable discretion

+ Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills

+ Ability to travel via airplane, automobile and train, including multiple overnight travel

+ Proficient computer literacy (SAP BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
