**Job Summary:**

The Training Analyst will develop and execute NRG’s sales training strategy, which primarily involves:

+ Training sales agents and vendor management for all Sales Channels in Texas on how to sell products that NRG and its affiliates offer

+ Educating sales agents and vendor management on (a) the benefits that the products offer, (b) how to sell multiple products to a customer, and (c) how to provide an excellent customer experience

+ Ensuring third-party and in-house compliance with internal sales policies as well as applicable laws and regulations (in consultation with NRG’s legal/regulatory team and sales team)

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Work with sales vendors to plan, schedule, manage, and track their training needs

+ Determine training requirements by understanding NRG’s sales and marketing strategic plans and evaluation of current sales results

+ Meet sales training financial objectives by forecasting sales training requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

+ Work with Program Manager and NRG Creative team to develop and execute “salesperson lifetime training” path, and own the materials created

+ Onboarding training

+ Advanced training

+ Supplemental/ongoing training

+ Identify business opportunities (process improvements, knowledge sharing, feedback from agents, etc.) and works with the relevant Channel Managers and Vendor Managers to execute and implement them

+ Assist with audits of third-party vendors and in-house personnel for compliance with policies and procedures and with regulatory and accreditation requirements

+ Analyze data to determine trends, identify needs and opportunities, allocate resources in a cost-effective manner, and prepare reports describing overall and individual performance

+ Collaborate with vendor management and channel sales teams in the implementation, monitoring and reassessment of quality improvement plans at the vendor, office, agent, and product levels

+ Oversee the goals and objectives of the sales training and customer experience programs in line with NRG’s mission and goals

+ Assist with maintaining documentation processes as allowed per state and or federal requirements related to oversight of audits, sales, and customer experience performance

+ Identify, evaluate, recommend, and document industry best practices for consideration in training and development

+ Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to promote a cooperative and constructive environment for improvement

+ Travel is required based on business need

+ Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

+ Normal office environment

+ Some overtime required as special projects arise

+ Travel within Texas (Houston, Dallas, South Texas) as required

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required

+ 2-5 years of electricity sales and/or customer service training experience required

+ 1+ years of SAP experience required

+ 3+ years of front-line sales experience required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

+ Background in residential electricity sales and training

+ Self-starter -- takes steps to improve deliverables/results without having to be asked

+ Proficient with standard office workstation technology, including Microsoft Office suite or software tools

+ Able to distill large amounts of material into 1-2 page summaries of what’s most relevant

+ Able to work across ability levels – knowledgeable enough to satisfy the questions of high-skill sales agents and vendor principals, able to make it simple and relatable to a low-skill agent

+ Positive, upbeat attitude about sales and NRG products/services

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities
