Description Training Manager (MAFSOS-22-0819-F):


Bowhead is seeking a Training Manager to support the Mobility Air Forces Flying Squadron Operations Support contract located at Dyess AFB, TX. The Training Manager will coordinate schedule of classes and administer exams as required. Coordinate with scheduling and external agencies (SFS/CATM, CES/Emergency Management, OSS, etc.) to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for Crew Resource Management, Instructor Crew Resource Management, Instrument Refresher Course, and any other grounding or pre-deployment training requirements.


The Training Support will:


• Under the guidance of the Flight Chief, schedule members for required ground training events IAW unit policies.


• Build, review, and update student/permanent party records, folders and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions (AFI 11-202V1 and AFI 11-2MDS-V1), associated MAJCOM Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.


• Under the guidance of the Flight Chief, provide weekly updates to squadron leadership containing the flight and readiness status of personnel to facilitate tracking of duty status and performance report/decoration accomplishment.


• Generate the following reports/forms as required: AF From 2096, AF Form 4324, Semi-annual Proration Consideration Report. Monthly Squadron Training Review Panel (STRP) briefings, Develop/review new flying training course actions


• Serve as the primary Training POC for all training simulator-related issues by communicating weekly with the simulator Contractor and ensuring all concerns are addressed with the appropriate agency and appropriate deadlines agreed upon and communicated to the Simulator Contractor and leadership.


• Update/publish monthly Automated Aircrew Manning System (AAMS) reports


• Process all Programmed Flying Training (PFT) requests with the appropriate training agency


• Coordinate with scheduling office, enabling them to maximize training opportunities in accordance with unit leadership guidance. Scheduling and training will be consistent with AFIs.


• Daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the unit Operations Supervisor (or equivalent) as well as weekly summaries for the Operations Office

Qualifications:


• One year of experience working in an Air Force Squadron, Group, or Wing; or two (2) years of experience working in a DoD Flying Squadron, Group, or Wing training program;


• Personnel shall be proficient in working with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint or other future admin support systems. Candidate shall be proficient with Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS).


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
