Summary: The Training Specialist develops and implements training programs using a variety of learning methods including in person training sessions, live virtual webinar sessions, online training programs and on-the job training programs. This includes assessing training needs, designing and developing training content, facilitating training, and evaluating training outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Facilitates and delivers training programs in an engaging manner. Training programs cover areas such as new associate training, software training, customer service, sales techniques, new product/process training, and management development.
+ Participates in needs analysis, curriculum development, instructional design, content development, course delivery and facilitation, and training evaluation.
+ Designs training programs and job aids that support the implementation of new products and processes.
+ Formulates training objectives and determines instructional methods such as on-the-job/mentoring, online training, individual training, or group instruction (classroom or webinar).
+ Structures content and activities for student learning.
+ Updates training programs and supporting materials on a regular basis to ensure changes in policies and procedures are accurately reflected and programs are engaging.
+ Collaborates with subject matter experts (SME’s) in the design and delivery of training programs.
+ Tracks the success of training materials and programs and makes improvements and adjustments as needed
+ Consults with SME’s to gain knowledge of specific work situations and better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
+ Selects or develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
+ Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
+ Reports on progress of associates under guidance during training periods.
+ Tracks training information using learning management system.
+ Monitors progress of mentoring programs and requests mentor payments.
+ Copies and binds instruction manuals and materials, as needed.

+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Previous experience in banking or financial services sector
+ Previous experience in designing and delivering training preferred
+ Knowledge and working experience with various educational technology systems such as synchronous online learning environments (Cisco WebEx), learning management systems, and online course development tools (Adobe Captivate).
+ Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
+ Strong writing, facilitation, and presentation skills
