The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS) within the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for **Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics** . DPHS seeks a talented and passionate teacher to contribute to its recently established Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate training programs. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of teaching statistics and/or biostatistics at the graduate level, a commitment to advancing statistical pedagogy, and the ability to engage learners enrolled in a variety of public health disciplines. Qualified applicants must hold a doctorate in biostatistics, statistics or related field. Experience in organizing online education programs is preferred. Training or experience in public health disciplines is preferred but not required. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to mentor MPH students and contribute to curriculum and program development. DPHS is home to a talented and diverse faculty with appointments in a range of public health specialties including: Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Epidemiology, and Health Services Research. The department has successful and long-standing masters and doctoral degree programs in biostatistics and epidemiology, and offers three MPH degrees in biostatistics, epidemiology, and health behavior and health promotion. Joint programs with Clemson University are also offered.
