Counterpart International is currently seeking Technical Support Consultants to assist in development of proposals in response to anticipated USDA-funded program that will focus on school feeding, education, nutrition, literacy, and sustainable food systems. In collaboration with representatives from Counterpart Headquarters, the Consultant will lead and/or support in the development and writing of the sections on USDA-funded opportuntities (including McGovern-Dole Food for Educaiton and Child Nutrition program, Local and Regional Food Aid Procurement program; Food for Progress program). Counterpart is seeking Technical Support Consultants in the following areas of expertise:
+ Health & Nutrition
+ Commodities & Logistics Management
+ Education and Literacy
+ Supply Chain and Value Chain
+ Monitoring and Evaluation
+ Agricultural Economics, Production, Farm management
+ Support Counterpart’s development of proposals for priority New Business Development USDA opportunities
+ Participate in designing, capture, writing, and reviewing of assigned technical areas relevant to Counsultants expertise)
+ Contribute input, insight, and recommendations to Counterpart’s strategic approach.
+ Minimum of 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in international development;
+ MEL candidates must have previous experience managing MEL processes on donor-funded programs;
+ Experience working on USDA McGovern-Dole, Local and Regional Food Aid Procurement and Food for Progress programs highly preferred;
+ Prior experience assessing accountability and policy reform programs, strongly preferred;
+ Experience working effectively with government officials, non-governmental partners, and USDA and/or other donors;
+ Professional experience in implementing donor-funded projects with preference for USAID-funded projects.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communications skills.
+ Speaking and strong writing fluency in English.
