The VP of Business Development will develop and maintain business relationships with prospects and customers to assess their needs. The VP of Business Development will also identify dedicated contract carriage opportunities.
+ Establish yearly sales goals.
+ Identify and develop relationships with prospects.
+ Seek opportunities with new clients and expand business with existing clients.
+ Identify inefficiencies, facilitate solutions.
+ Design, complete pricing, and facilitate the bid and contract process.
+ Maintain relationships with existing customers.
+ Keep detailed records of prospects and opportunities.
+ High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
+ Five to ten years of experience in dedicated contract carriage sales with proven success in developing new business.
+ Ability and availability to travel as business needs dictate.
+ Must be familiar with Microsoft applications and Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
+ Strong knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
+ Exceptional communication and customer service skills with ability to sell Cardinal services and negotiate contract terms.
