**Job Description**
This position is responsible for purchasing inventory control, shipping, receiving and labeling of materials and updating of inspection and repair logs for lifting equipment and vehicles.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Strictly adhere to and enforce all safety procedures
+ Supervise the Warehouse staff
+ Involved in Human Resource matters including hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and termination of personnel in coordination with corporate management and in accordance with company policies and procedures
+ Establish and maintain a comprehensive and accurate warehouse inventory across all sites for which you are responsible
+ Establish and maintain a comprehensive and accurate access control, auditing process and any other processes necessary to ensure accurate inventories
+ Maintain physical and computerized inventory levels and ensure optimum levels of parts on hand
+ Assemble and prepare documentation for equipment and tool packages and deliver parts to crews in the field
+ Assist Maintenance Manager and other plant personnel with specifying, purchasing and receiving goods
+ Responsible for maintaining documentation of inventory levels and equipment out for repairs
+ Communicate with vendors and promote good relations to ensure competitive pricing in all business dealings
+ Ensure that the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) located in the warehouse are kept current and up-to-date
+ Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for continuous period of time and read and understand maps
+ Must be able to work weekends and holidays (or one or the other) when necessary
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for operating a forklift, other lifting and heavy equipment and perform shipping and receiving duties
+ Responsible for proper and timely placement of all required labels for new inventory and current stock
+ Other duties and projects as assigned by management
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
+ The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school
+ 5 years’ experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving or any combination of education and experience providing the required knowledge and skills for successful performance
+ This position requires initial and annual Hazardous Waste Management Training, Initial 24-Hour Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Training to the First Responder “Operational” Level, with annual 8-hour refresher training, and Initial and Tri-annual Department of Transportation (DOT) Training
+ Must be accurate, detail oriented, self-managing and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Must have strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, attention to detail and follow through skills
+ Must be able to work well individually or in a team orientated environment with the ability to multi-task and change priorities
+ Must have the ability to communicate at a level that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
+ Must have the ability to communicate verbally and visually in a clear and effective manner including in noisy and low illumination environments
+ Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet
+ Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s auto insurance carrier
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ This job requires sitting approximately 10% and standing up to 90%
+ The ability to lift 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to wear a variety of protective equipment as required by safety procedures and regulations
+ Must be able to frequently climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
+ This job requires standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling
