As a Workforce Planning & Learning Program Manager, you will manage Gallo's Operations educational outreach, internship, and apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will build, expand, and strengthen partnerships with unified school districts throughout the Central Valley. You will also partner closely with senior management throughout the organization to develop broad-based training and process solutions through use of instructional systems design and collaboration with external providers.

What You Will Do

* Establishes and maintains relationships with high school districts while developing and executing Operations high school program

* Ensures coordination within Operations regarding the annual completion of internship programs, and monitors trainee progress during training programs.

* Provides operational management of all Operations state-registered apprenticeship program, including the development and sustainment of policies and procedures, tracking the progress of the apprentices throughout their respective programs, ensuring high quality of the programs, mitigating issues related to the apprenticeship programs, and develops curriculum to support apprenticeship programs.

* Provides administrative and operational support for the successful management of the Modesto Manufacturing Training Center, including logistical support to ensure effective daily operations of the center.

* Serves as liaison to educational providers, including the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) and the Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS).

* Acts as liaison to Modesto Junior College, the VOLT Institute, and other organizations for purposes of supporting Operations workforce development needs.

* Develops curriculum and training programs for employees of varying levels: training programs cover specified areas such as but not limited to specific operational disciplines, leadership and management, high performance work teams, communication, project management, and specific work skills.

* Reviews training currently provided across departments, determine gaps in consistency and provide solutions and processes for establishing and maintaining consistency.

* Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

* Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

* Establishes a methodology to measure the effectiveness of course materials and level of benefit provided (ROI, customer satisfaction, etc.).

* Evaluates current training materials; makes recommendations to improve training materials in order to improve user comprehension and learning transfer to their job.

* Identifies and selects appropriate instructional design through various learning modalities, meeting the training needs of the department or organization.

What You Will Need

* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

* Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience combined with experience in higher education at the high school or college level to include leadership or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; -OR- 9 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience combined with experience in higher education at the high school and/or college level to include leadership or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

* Corporate training experience that includes developing, delivering and evaluating educational content and corporate training experience.

* Required to occasionally travel between Modesto, Fresno, Sonoma and Central Coast locations to support training programs.

* Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level and MS Excel at the basic level.

* Skilled in coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentations, process development, analysis and problem solving.

* Skilled in developing training curriculums.

* Skilled in making formal presentations and creating presentation ready graphics.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and change management.

* Experience building strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.

* Required to lift and move training materials that can weigh up to 40 lbs.

What Will Set You Apart

* Graduate degree in Business Administration or Education plus 10 years extensive manufacturing or supply chain experience combined with experience in higher education at the high school or college, including leadership or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

* Manufacturing-related industry certification such as APICS or MSSC.

* Experience teaching at the high school or college level

* Coaching or mentoring experience working with high school or college students.

* Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

* Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
